Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor, most famous as a star of the well-known TV series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. From his early college days, Meloni was interested in acting. He then studied at The University of Colorado at Boulder. He was also active on TV and film and on stage, his appearances on the small screen were what earned him recognition. His ability to portray characters from both sides of the law is a draw for audiences. When he first appeared on television, for his debut project, he played the role of a serial killer. Then, he played the role of an NYPD investigator. Because of his appearances on smaller screens, he's received multiple nominations for prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. His piercing blue eyes his face are considered to be his most attractive aspect of his appearance. These have been used to depict rough characters as well as give them a sense of humour. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
